The Wine Bloggers Conference has now been held five times:
- 2008 Sonoma County, CA
- 2009 Sonoma and Napa, CA
- 2010 Walla Walla, WA
- 2011 Charlottesville, VA
- 2012 Portland, OR
We are very proud to reveal that 13 people have attended all five conferences:
- Amy Corron Power, Another Wine Blog, @WineWonkette
- Craig Camp, Cornerstone Cellars, @CraigCamp
- Janelle Becerra, The Wine Travelers
- Joe Becerra, The Wine Travelers, @joewinetraveler
- Joe Power, Another Wine Blog, @HoustonWino
- Joe Roberts, 1 Wine Dude, @1WineDude
- Jon Staenberg, Blessing the Crush
- Kelly Conrad, E&J Gallo Winery, @kconrad1
- Liza Swift, Brix Chicks, @BrixCHick_Liza
- Lori Narlock, Wine Country Cook, @winecountrycook
- Thea Dwelle, Luscious Lushes, @Luscious_Lushes
- Tom Wark, Fermentation, @tomcwark
- Ward Kadel, Vinopanion, @drXeNo
I’d like to express a few thoughts about this. First off, we very much appreciate the support these 13 people have shown. These are some of the top names in the wine blogging world and if you are not reading their blogs and following them, you are missing out.
Second, I’d like to point out that Craig Camp is actually an industry blogger, blogging about his winery, Cornerstone. Craig has been a huge supporter of the WBC from the beginning, participating in Live Wine Blogging every year. Likewise, Kelly Conrad actually supports the conference every year as a non-blogger. Kelly works in public relations at the E&J Gallo Winery and every year she attends the conference, mingles with wine bloggers, and supports the conference just by her presence. We welcome all comers at the WBC and Kelly is an excellent example of this.
Third, we have many, many others who have attended the conference four, three, two, or just one time and we appreciate all of you as well. In fact, on the post-WBC survey, one person wrote she would like to have us feature some of the lesser-known blogs at the conference as speakers or in some other way. While we laud these 13 folks above, the spirit of blogging is democratic and we agree we should help promote new and lesser-known bloggers as much as we can. Each and every wine blogger is important.
wow i am humbled to be in such company! 🙂
I’m sorry I didn’t make the list! I was in OR during WBC11; that’s the only one I missed.
Thanks for catching that! Updated and all works now. Cheers! Cindy
FYI – Link to Lucious Lushes doesn’t work (“You 404″d it. Gnarly, dude.”)
Well that’s hardly surprising!
Here here! I hope everyone got their Veteran ribbon at WBC12! Let’s go for 6!
Looks like my mother was right. I didn’t change my ways and I ended up a lifer.
Nobody knows the troubles I’ve seen…
I am working my way to #2.. this was an amazing conference and I look forward to meeting more of the 13.. I know and met about 3…
Very kind mention, thanks.
