Not sure what to expect when you travel to Virginia for the 2011 North American Wine Bloggers Conference? Take some time aside this weekend (or at least set the recording) to watch Vintage: The Winemaker’s Year.
This film is about the wine industry in Virginia, tracing its humble beginnings on up through the 2008 vintage. It has been a long time in the making, was a featured film in the 2010 Virginia Film Festival, and was the winner of the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention and Visitors Bureau’s “Big Picture” award.
The film will air this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, on PBS stations around the country. For information on when the film is airing, click on the Silverthorn Films website.
Jason, glad you liked the film! We, here at Silverthorn Films, are excited to attend the conference and get a chance to meet you all!
Just watched it last night. Incredibly well done and a great way to understand the typical year grape growers and winemakers have in Virginia. Can’t way to meet some of the folks next month!
