The 2015 Wine Bloggers Conference officially kicks off tomorrow, August 13 in Corning. But for 50 Finger Lakes wine country guests, the 2015 WBC kicked off TODAY on the pre-conference excursion with the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. This 2015 experience was quick to sell out and we look forward to the report when everyone is delivered back to Corning tomorrow afternoon and in time to pick up name badges and dive right in.
Paul Thomas, Executive Director of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, was instrumental in orchestrating the multiple variables associated with producing this top-notch wine experience. Paul has coordinated a full day and a half of educational tastings and meetings to inform wine media about what makes the SLWT awesome. The lineup includes:
- Four separate education and tasting stations at Villa Bellangelo
- The theme of Finger Lakes Wine Women at Ventosa Vineyards
- A presentation on a Family’s Winemaking Lifestyle at Anthony Road Wine Company
- An Analysis of Terroir at Fox Run Vineyards
The Seneca Lake Wine Trail and its member wineries are committed to enhancing the region’s economy and quality of life through a variety of innovative and cooperative events and programs year round. The organization has 30 member wineries who are dedicated to the growth of Riesling, Chardonnay, and other aromatic whites and red varieties with most wine made from grapes harvested in the cool-climate Seneca Lake Appellation.
Cheers to all Finger Lakes wine country guests getting a heck of a look at the Seneca Lake Wine Trail before the official kick off to the 2015 Wine Bloggers Conference! See you in Corning tomorrow afternoon!
