Our last day of the conference featured breakout sessions in the morning, including digital marketing, online vs. print media, writing about unexplored wine regions, and how to increase your current following and how to write an entertaining wine review. All these sessions provided key takeaways for attendees take their writing and marketing skills to the next level and have a good time while doing so.
Lunch today was sponsored by Pernod Ricard, one of our key sponsors for the conference. We thank them for all their support and the wonderful wines they shared with the group.
Max Allen wrapped up the regular sessions with a keynote about how his wine writing career began and what is in store for the future. The role of video will be a strong tool for engagement to create experiences people can share.
The second Live Wine Social featured white and rosé wines – there were many Semillons from the region as well as some lovely Chardonnays and Verdelhos.
The conference concluded with the always entertaining and fast-paced Lightning Talks. This was the chance for attendees to get up and speak on their favorite subject for 5 minutes while slides advanced automatically.
Wrapping up the conference, we made the announcement for our 2020 conference, which will be held in Eugene, Oregon in August. Stay tuned for more details!
Our time in Australia has been amazing, with so much support from not only the Hunter Valley, but Granite Belt, the Mudgee Region, Orange360 and Riverina. Thanks to you all!
