We asked and you answered! Based on feedback from our 2017 participants, we have made the following changes for the upcoming 2018 Wine Bloggers Conference in Walla Walla:
- We have reduced the fees for the Wine Education Sessions. These small-group pre-conference educational sessions were highly popular and quite successful in 2017 and we will schedule them again for 2018 – but with a price reduction from $25 to $15 per session.
- We will also continue to offer optional Thursday night dinner excursions but will again reduce prices from $25 to $20. Obviously these are a good deal either way.
- We will be bringing back the “Mystery Dinner Excursions” on Friday afternoon including visits to vineyards and wineries for tours, tastings, and dinner. We will have approximately eight buses departing the Marcus Whitman hotel for eight different destinations. Just jump on a bus and be whisked away to learn about the local wine region, explore a vineyard, and have dinner with your hosts.
Look for our upcoming Call for Content. The 2017 content was rated among the top in our 10-year history (essentially tied for first with the 2015 conference in the Finger Lakes) and so we plan to continue our current content system including an open Call for Content and public vote of possible sessions by alumni.
The next registration deadline is December 31st – the cost is currently $95 for citizen bloggers or published writers and $395 for industry. As of January 1, 2018, the pricing will go up to $120 for citizen bloggers or published writers, $420 for industry through March 31st, so register today!
