Organizers of the North American Wine Bloggers Conference have agreed with CRT/tanaka to have the communications firm help with the outreach of the conference. This is a good thing for the conference and for wine bloggers!
Now in its fourth year, the Wine Bloggers Conference makes a big splash in the online wine world. With hundreds of blog posts and thousands of Tweets covering the conference each year, the online reach is excellent.
However, that doesn’t mean we are necessarily reaching all those industry folks and wine consumers who aren’t reading about wine online. Reaching out to wineries and wine consumers will help raise the profile of the conference and wine blogging in general. CRT/tanaka, a Virginia-based communications firm with a specialty in food and wine, will help us achieve this goal.
We first came into contact with CRT/tanaka via Pia Mara Finkell who manages traditional and social media for the Vibrant Rioja campaign for the agency. A few months ago Pia came to us with an idea for an excellent panel on “Wine and Millennials”. When we agreed to the panel, she not only volunteered to be on it but also found a moderator (Joe Roberts from 1 Wine Dude, winner of the 2010 Best Overall Wine Blog) and set up the entire panel.
Pia is a go-getter and we quickly decided we needed to work with her and CRT/tanaka. We are looking forward to working with the agency to help promote the Wine Bloggers Conference to the world!
