One of the fun new events at the Wine Bloggers Conference will be the Ignite Wine session on Sunday morning. Nine presenters will each have five minutes to talk about something of interest to wine bloggers.
The catch is each presenter must deliver to us a file of 20 slides covering their talk and we will then set the slides to auto-advance every 15 seconds. So presenters need to be on the ball to keep up with their own slides. It makes for a fast, fun event.
We are also very pleased to have entwine as sponsor of the event. entwine is the new wine portfolio stemming from the collaberation of Food Network and Wente Vineyards. Amy Hoopes from Wente Vineyards will be our emcee and we will get to try some of entwine‘s wines during the presentations – wine that is not even yet available to the public.
Here is the lineup of presenters:
Elle Potter: Wine Bloggers Conference: What It Takes
Patricia Clough: entwine
Matthew Parnell: East Coast Wines
Su Birch: South Africa: Why Our Wine Lands Are Wild
Patrick Spencer: Wine Closures: Fact, Fiction and Sustainability
Kelly Medler: The evolution of the wine drinker
Jason Mancebo: A Picture is Worth 1000 Words – Visual Storytelling
Mary Cressler: Pairing Wine and Food
Jason Phelps: Savoring Similarities, Celebrating Differences: Tips for Successful Wine Reviewing
Make sure to attend Sunday morning to see these brave presenters!
Although I was unable to make the Conference this year, I am speaking at the Ignite Presentation in Tampa on How a Passion for Wine led to Building an Online Community.
Nice post, thanks for sharing!
