A master at telling the story behind the wine, we are thrilled to announce that James Conaway will join us in Penticton as our 2013 Wine Bloggers’ Conference Keynote Speaker.
Conaway is author of many books including best-seller, Napa: The Story of an American Eden and its sequel, The Far Side of Eden: New Money, Old Land, and the Battle for Napa Valley.
With Napa first published in 1992, these two books have woven together a history of the Napa Valley that not only chronicles the birth, growth and evolution of the wines grown and produced there, but also the people and politics behind them. His books have become both a resource for the wine lover, and a reference on this part of American history.
For James Conaway’s bio, please visit the agenda page. His new novel, Nose, is to be released this March, and it’s exciting to find out that a character in the novel is a wine blogger! As a blogger himself, you can follow his latests posts where he writes about his travels, wine, and other interests.
James Conaway is scheduled to speak during the opening hours of the Wine Bloggers’ Conference on Friday, June 7th. We invite you to join us in Penticton, and to also join us this coming Wednesday, February 6th at 12pm PST on a Google + On Air Hangout where we will be accompanied by Tom Wark (Fermentation: The Daily Wine Blog) to talk with Mr. Conaway about his path in wine writing where he has transitioned from non-fiction author to fiction, to blogging, and beyond.
You can RSVP for the Hangout here.
You must have a google + account to access the On Air Hangout Wednesday. We will also publish the Hangout on our YouTube channel at a later date.
